4 YOGA POSITIONS FOR A HEALTHY BACK

From hours spent sat awkwardly on a chair in the office to forgetting to sit straight at the table during meals, we really tend to forget how to look after our back.

In the UK alone, around 1 in 3 adult suffers from back pain every year and according to the NHS, 2.5 million of us are seeking help from their GP every year for back related issues.

So let’s give our back some deserved TLC.

But How?

Yoga, which has proven to be beneficial to our body for hundreds of years can be practiced anywhere and at anytime. It is also free, which means that you have no excuse not to try these 4 positions at home:

Start gently by sitting down and doing the Bharadvaja’s Twist, which is great for your spine and abdominal organs.

You can then follow up by doing the Downward-Facing Dog, which will help you  stretch your back.

If you have a painful back, the Plow Pose is perfect for you and will help reduce the pain. It also relaxes you to promote a better night’s sleep.

The Cat pose is also a great way to massage your spine while stretching your arms.

Regardless of how beneficial these positions are, nothing replaces a comfortable bed.

At Tweak Slumber we want you get the best night’s sleep possible by ensuring that you are comfortable and pain free. To do this, we have developed the Nrem Mattress.

Unlike conventional mattresses, the Nrem provides the ability to tailor each side differently offering different levels of support wherever they’re needed. Simply unzip the top cover and you’ll discover two sets of 5 variable density foam tablets.
Each tablet can be taken out and re-arranged in a different position, which means you can have support where it is needed and softer comfort elsewhere. Additionally, each side of the mattress can be set up differently according to each partners preferences.
